We choose this because of the itinerary; we had been in Alaska 20 years ago and wanted to visit the same spots again. Our favorite line, Oceania does not go where we wanted to go, so we choose Princess. Not a good decision. Boarding was handled well, disembarkation was also well done. In the middle, not so much. Our cabin was clean, but dated and the steward did a fine job. I'm allergic to air fresheners and he did not use them after we spoke to him. Some entertainment was good, Rhapsody Trio especially fine, we followed them to most of their performances. The naturalist who did several presentations on Alaska was super. The food in the dining room was another story. Whatever critters they used for prime rib were a mystery; terrible. How that meat ever got out of the kitchen or past the food inspector, (they have one?) I'll never know. All beef dishes were terrible. I tried the fish dishes several times and all were overcooked to a frazzle. I'm used to Oceania, out total cruise experiences among several lines is over 40, but Princess was terrible.
