Our embarkation at Barcelona was stress free and speedy; although this port in Barcelona is by far the most modern and accessible and easy to approach. I am certain that the NCL staff are the real reason our embarkation was so painless and simple. This was our return to this ship after a fabulous cruise back in January so my wife and I were not sure how we would feel about our descent into an inside cabin after being taken to the dizzy heights of luxury cruising on our last NCL cruise!!Our cabin was on deck 8 and I have to say we were pleasantly surprised with our inside cabin; it was clean, showed no signs of tiredness, equipped with a fridge, also a teas made, and hey! grab this! a shower with a door! and plenty of room to walk about in that did not have a curtain that caused the the toilet floor to flood and the mirror to steam over!!!There was also the comfort of not straining yourself against the wall when you bent down to pick up the soap when you dropped it!!!! The Speciality Restaurants catered for most dietary requirements with the French signature restaurant Le Bistro being our particular favorite. Having said this we did experience a few times the elegantly appointed Grand Pacificmain dining room with its floor to ceiling windows and sweeping ocean views; We were fortunate to be seated one evening overlooking these ocean views. We could take our pick from a range of elegant bars at Bar City for a night of casual entertainment or attend the theatre with dazzling West-End style spectaculars and many other exciting productions. Whatever your taste in music there was a variety of talented performers and I have to say that the the twelve fold theatre troupe all had outstanding singing voices. The itinerary was was varied from the vibrant Naples and Roman landmarks to the bathed warm sunlight of Cagliari in Sardinia back to the breath taking Cathedrals in the Gothic quarter of Barcelona. We much prefer to make our own way around ports of call and this itinerary allowed us to do just this with safety in mind at all ports that we visited on this cruise. To sum up this cruise I would say was wonderful value for money with unrivalled attention from the crew. A special mention to the bubbly and attentive waiters and waitresses at the Star restaurant adjacent to Cagney's`s. Also a very special mention must go to the elegant Monica Fotache our Concierge who was always at our beck and call for every need how ever small. Last of all but not least was the great and amusing company of Armado Da Silva the Hotel Director with whom we and our friends are indebted for being his special guests when we he invited us to " Break Bread " with him one evening. Both really contributed to  making our time on board the Norwegian Jade a memorable, exciting and a relaxing free style cruise; I style of cruising I have to say I am beginning to warm to after taking a bit of convincing!
