Just got back from a 7 day cruise to Alaska on the Jewel, and had a wonderful time.
Cruised with my wife, 7 year old daughter and 88 year old mother (birthday wish). We flew to Seattle a day early, and toured the city and had a great fish dinner the night before we sailed. Stayed at the Crown Plaza through Norwegian.
Embarkation was a breeze. We met the Norwegian representative in the hotel lobby at noon, and we were on the ship about 1:30. Lines were not long, and moved fast. We avoided the buffet for lunch, and went to Tzars instead. Had a relaxing, very good lunch, and by the time we were finished the cabins were ready.
We had 3 adults and 1 child in the suite. It was a little crowded, but fine for a week. We never felt overly crowded. Balcony is a huge plus for Alaska cruise.
Bus tour through city, stopped at Space Needle and Fish Market.
Wonderful train ride. Beautiful views.
