Both embarkation and disembarkation were smooth. I was traveling with someone who has modest mobility issues and the HAL staff and crew made travel so easy. This was A Prairie Home Companion cruise, so the entertainment and activities were constant and splendid. Service was fine, ports were lovely. It was especially wonderful to be able to stop in Hoonah, Kodiak, and Sitka. Although we were not able to go up Tracey Arm Strait due to ice, the stops we made were spectacular. We were three tables of six at the second seating and had a great deal of fun. The dining staff and the sommelier managed to keep up with all our seating changes and helped us throw a big birthday party on the last night. Our cabin, on the walking deck, was very nice, pleasantly appointed and well watched over by our lovely steward. It was a grand experience, one that I would certainly do again.

Kodiak

Booked independent excursion with MemoryMakers. He was able to accommodate our last-minute request with a later tour. Interesting and fun.
