We have cruised with Carnival 5 times before in Caribbean and wanted to head to spain so we thought we would cruise on the Vista!

Everything was amazing..... we opted to check in between 12:30 and 1:00 we arrived at 11:45 and there were no lines and we just checked in and headed on the ship.

We enjoyed every meal we ate on the ship. We had anytime dinning for 7 of us and it worked perfectly.....never a wait and always great table. Our servers were always on the ball ( except for one night) introducing themselves, asking our names and bang on with service.

Cabin Review

Porthole

Cabin PT

Our cabin was lovely! we love the 2 bathrooms in our stateroom.

It was nice to have a flat screen tv

Plenty of room and the most comfortable beds and duvets!

Port Reviews

Taormina (Messina)

We hoped off the ship. We found out that on sunday everything in Messina is closed so we took a very expensive cab ride up to Taormina. Beautiful city with beautiful views.... we walked around and enjoyed our time there.

Our cab took us back down to Messina where we did end up finding a restaurant open and had some wine and pizza.

Barcelona

Just got on the ship

Naples

We booked a tour with CBM ( Can't be missed) they picked us up and drove us to Sorrento, then the almafi coast then to Pompeii...... our guide was so knowledgable!!!

Sorrento was beautiful and well as the Almafi coast.

Pompeii was a wonderful tour, just VERY HOT!!

Rome (Civitavecchia)

We booked again with CBM... this time we were in 8 passanger vans. they took us to the coliseum where we met our guide who was also VERY knowledgable. then they took us to Trevi Fountain and the Vatican.

We could not get in the Coliseum as it was too lined up.

We had about an our walk around Trevi fountain to grab a bite.

Remember that you need your shoulders and knees covered when you enter the sistein chapel. we had to buy scarves from vendors outside! They had us back to the port in plenty of time.

Florence (Livorno)

We hoped on a bus that took us to Florence for just over 3 hrs then took us to Pisa for an hour.

Florence was beautiful but we seemed very rushed.

Pisa was crazy busy and we only had an hour there enough time to take cheesy photos and buy a drink. ( every where you need to buy something to use the restroom)

Marseille

Took a cab down town and then hoped on the hop on hop off... we stayed on and rode the bus all the way around then went walking on our own and stopped for lunch and drinks. Very pretty town.

Palma de Mallorca (Majorca)

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!!!

we were going to ride the hop on hop off, but the line for the bus was crazy..... we ended up renting bikes right at the port ( we choose electric ones) 35.00 euro for 2 all day.

they have 20 klms of bike trail along the coast...... so amazingly beautiful. we stopped all along the way for drinks and snacks. headed back to the city and walked around for a bit. Lots of beautiful shops and restaurants. I will for sure be back here
