This was our first cruise we have ever been on.  It was suppose to go to Mexico Ports cabo/mazat/puerto Vallarta.  We were detoured due to the H1N1 virus and had to go to San Fran instead.  We ended up in cabo/Sf/LA.Meals - Food was excellent.  I was happy with the taste of almost everything I tried.  The sit down second dinner was splendid as was the windjammer cafe upstairs.  The cafe promenade had decent snacks and was open 24 hours so there was always something to grind your teeth on.  Wait staff was great, treated us respectfully and always took a little extra time with our daughter.Recreation - Shows were awesome, and comedy was very funny.  The ice show was great! lots of dancing and excellent choreography.  "The Quest" was a very funny show, you have to see it if you want to know what it is.  Juggling comedian was absolutely hilarious, and actually was a great juggler :)Ship - Ship is in decent shape but like most have said, is starting to show its age.  You can see it in the balcony rails, the less than clean main floors and the outdated design of some parts of the ship.  The crew has done a very good job in maintaining this vessel, but there is only so much you can do.  Our stateroom was 7th level midship balcony and it was an excellent place for a first time cruiser.Trip - For the most part the trip was great, hitting the beach in beautiful CABO was a highlight.  Crystal blue ocean with 90+ degree weather was spectacular.  Getting the news that we are heading to SF was disappointing, but what can we do.  We made the best of it, and the crew tried their best to satisfy everyone.  Seas were a bit rough on the way up and on the way down to LA from SF.  Lots of wind and fog.Overall a great trip and would highly recommend this ship and it's staff to anyone wishing to cruise this line.  Our waiters Lyall and Anden were awesome and deserve to be recognized for their outstanding service. The Robinson's from Alaska
