We chose this cruise because the port of embarkation and the ports we were SUPPOSED to go to. There was a tropical storm over the Bahamas and Florida. So, Carnival ended up changing the itinerary to Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Mahogany Bay. The ports were not as pretty as the Bahamas would have been so we were extremely disappoint and felt as if Carnival should have refunded some money(might I add, they did refund about $15 which seemed more like a slap in the face) or given everyone some kind of comp that was worth our while. There were many others that were extremely disappointed as well, and some were even enraged.

We did not explore New Orleans because we live about an hour or two away and have visited many times before.

Embarkation went pretty smoothly. Everyone was very nice and it went as fast as it could have went.

We did not do anything here. The parking was $140 for the week, though.
