Our first cruise was with Princess some 18 years ago and we did 8 overseas cruises with them before we decided not to fly so much and take cruises from Southampton instead. We then did over 10 cruises with Cunard and then one with P & O on the Arcadia in September 2015.

This cruise was with our children, daughter in law and four grandchildren. That is nine in total. We chose this cruise because it was their first, it was in the school holidays and the Mediterranean was a good first itinerary. Cunard was a bit expensive, we were very disappointed with the food on the Arcadia and we had heard Princess was still of a good standard so we chose the Emerald Princess.

Everything was excellent. We had three mini suites which were quite spacious. The food in the traditional dining room (Botticell'is) was first class both in quality and quantity. The service from the waiting staff was exemplary. There was always plenty of entertainment from shows to quizzes.
