Husband wanted to celebrate his birthday on a cruise, so he booked a voyage leaving on his happy day. Since we have taken 25+ cruises, my expectations were low for this venture. I was pleasantly surprised by efficiency, friendliness, professionalism of crew. Cruise director, Jess was adorable, organized, kept announcements to a minimum and generally created enjoyable experience for all passengers.
Food was mediocre, meats, including value added lobster, tasted frozen, bland and were tough. Desserts were tasty as were creative salads. Bread was fresh and popovers delightful surprise on last sea day. All at our table were disappointed by entrees, even prime rib was tasteless.
Room service coffee and snack on balcony was a fun treat each morning.
Clean, spacious and staff very efficient. Stateroom needed carpenter's attention as one set of drawers and one closet were difficult to use. Refrigerator was large and lots of counter space. Balcony was not as deep as other ships we travelled.
Bicycle trams were great fun to transport from ship and shops. Drivers friendly and ride comfortable.
Most difficult to find some sort of transportation from ship. I finally found a wheelchair and someone to push it so we could take tour bus. Ship or Progresso staff really need some sort of trolley/bicycle cart to help passengers.
