I've been cruising for a long time. We've been on the larger ships and the smaller ships and really prefer the smaller ships (they feel more like cruising and not shopping in a "mall" - just my opinion!). It's been awhile since I've been on Majesty (last time was out of Miami). I was a little concerned based on the reviews, but we LOVED EVERY MINUTE of our cruise. She is still a very classy lady!

Embarkation was a breeze. We arrived about 12:15pm. Check-in took 10 minutes at most. We headed up to the Windjammer for a nice lunch and during our lunch they announced all cabins were ready (just before 1pm). Spent sometime wandering around the ship and booking a spa appointment. Muster drill didn't take long and we sailed out right at 4p. We were celebrating some birthdays and decided to rent a cabana at Cococay. This was a spluge ($225 for the cabana NOT per person) and worth every penny. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. We chose the cabana's closest to the ship because we didn't want to do the "tram" ride. We were in #7, directly on the water (not the beach). Cabana's will accommodate 6 people and come with a sectional sofa, lounge chairs, 2 sets of snorkeling gear, bottled water in a cooler (large bottles of evian), fruit plate, special lunch and float mats (we were able to get one for each person). Lunch was FABULOUS. It is grilled to order (shrimp & chicken skewers, steak, roasted/grilled chicken, pork). There is a separate dining area - again with the water view and umbrellas. We felt like royalty!

In Nassau we took the water ferry to Atlantis ($4.00 pp each way) and just walked around.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin SO

Cabin was great! We upgraded to an SO cabin because I was concerned about the smaller cabins on the other decks. We had lots of room to store clothes (we actually didn't use all the space). Our cabin steward, Sean, couldn't do enough for us. While Majesty is an older ship, we found the cabin clean and comfortable. The location is perfect to access all the other areas of the ship. SO cabins come with a small loveseat and a refrigerator. These are nice touches. While this is listed as "obstructed view" we could see just fine and enjoyed the larger window.
