We choose this cruise for the ship and not the ports. We had already been to all of the stops before. The ship is huge, just as we expected. That was a good thing and a bad thing. The size was great because there were lot's of things to do to keep you busy. It was bad because there were 6000 people on board doing the same thing you were. During peak hours the elevators were full and it was hard to find a sit in the Windjammer. There other places to eat, so look around and try all the spots. The diving show and the Blue Plant Show was great. People say the Mama Mia show was good too but we did see it. Even though the shows are free you must book tickets in advance. If you don't have advance tickets you must wait in a standby line. The comedy was good however for ship this size the Comedy Club only holds 140 people. Get tickets in advance. The 70's show on the Royal Promenade was great. We booked an all inclusive package on the Rising Tide Bar. This was the best deal ever. Best view point and all you can drink, snacks, tee shirt, souvenir hurricane glass... for three hours was included in the price. This was the best experience ever getting off the ship on the last day. We choose the express departure option. We took our own luggage off. 15 minutes from room to the terminal. 15 minutes to the airport. Best ever and we cruise often.

Cabin Review

Central Park View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin C1

We enjoyed the inside balcony. We could sit on the balcony and enjoy the music being played in the park. I was worried that noise would be a problem. The door closed tight and the noise was minimal with the door closed. No music was played after about 10:00 pm. Never was an issue.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Did not have an excursion. The airport is only 15 minutes or less to the port depending on your cab driver. About $15 two people and two bags. Must show ID before they let the cab onto the port property.

St. Maarten

We took a cab to Orient Beach $14 for two one way. We rented two chairs and an umbrella for $20 all day. This is on the French side of the Island and yes the beach has a clothing optional side. That's where we were and had a get time. If that's not what you want don't walk too far up the beach and you will be fine. The beach is clean and the water is crystal clear. There are shops and restaurants if you are so incline. A few venders on the beach but not as troublesome as other places we've been. One guy selling CD's was the worst. Followed us to the parking lot as we left.

San Juan

We've been to San Juan several times. This trip we just walked around Old San Juan, took some pictures and got back on board. Very hot that day. The ship was not in port this trip. We left at around 1:30 pm
