We had always wanted to visit Alaska and found a group deal for this cruise which included the airfare from Newark NJ to Seattle and back and all transfers to and from the port. As usual Carnival's shows are the same old same old performers singing and dancing every night and very boring. One night Motown, another night Disco and so on with other nights. The food in the MDR was great as we have always found. Lunchtime on the lido deck had very limited choices for eating. We were glad this ship still did not switch to the American Table but at the same time missed not having a GUYS BURGERS and a DIVE-IN movie. Movies were shown in what was in the evening the comedy club and the screen was kind of small and the sound was hard to hear. The ship had a malfunction on our last night and it listed a good bit and I was glad we were walking towards our cabin in the hallway when we tipped to the side. Me and my walker slammed into the hallway wall. Had I been in a more open area I would have fallen down. When we got into the cabin we found our water glasses had fallen and broken on the carpet from the listing. All in all, love the size of the ship, the dining room staff were great, the cruise director was not the greatest, (never seen her around the ship) and the media package was a little slow.
We still enjoyed our vacation because of the beauty of nature we seen in Alaska
Cabin was nice but not the cleanest I've been in. The room steward was the worst we've had out of all our cruises.
All excursions were cancelled due to our late arrival in port due to the ships malfunction when the ship listed
Met up with a friends daughter who took us around to see some sights...including bears, salmon and eagles and waterfalls and totem poles
Beautiful port....took a nice walk along the water
Love the port. Easy to catch the SMART BUS which you can ride all day for $5.00 pp
The town was cute with reasonable shops
Check in at port was confusing....they were not too helpful
