Great if you have young kids. Not for older teens and our last Carnival cruise.

Traveled with children

Our first family cruise was roughly 10 years ago on the Fantasy. We had a great time on that trip. The kids were younger as was the ship. Fast forward 10 years with young adults, the ship is older, no upgrades, clean, but nothing new. The service was, as always, fantastic. The staff and crew really do a great job and make you feel welcome. Our housekeeping staff were great. They knew all 4 of us by name after meeting us once and made it a point to acknowledge us everytime they saw us.

We ordered and had a cake set up for night ones dinner for our sons graduation and birthday. It never showed up so we had to go to guest services and inquire. After they spoke to the dining room it was stated by our head waiter that we requested not to do it that night. That was a flat out lie. To say it was frustration is an understatement. My son won a 75 dollar gift certificate for the spa. When we went to use it, we were greeted with a list of reasons and services we could not use it on. Disappointment number 2.

Our now young adults had nothing to do as 1 was young enough to enter 1 teen activity but the other could not. This made for a long trip for them and us.
