After much research I chose Holland America for my Alaskan cruise. I certainly was not disappointed. Excellent crew, entertainment, food and facilities. The Westerdam was just the right size, wanted to stay away from the big ships. The atmosphere was certainly what I was looking for. Not a big "party" ship. I am a mature female doing a solo cruise. Alaska was breathtaking!! The programs offered by the cruise on Alaska contributed to the enjoyment of the state. Enjoyed all the ports (Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan and Victoria). The day spent in Glacial Bay was the highlight of the cruise. Everyone needs to see it. There was a wide variety of programs on the ship to meet differnt interests. While all the entertained was great and at a professional level, really enjoyed Stryker in the piano bar. A very talented pianist and singer who really knows how to get the crowd involved and makes every guest feel important! Embarkation and disembarkation very organized. No long lines!!!! Loved this cruise so much, can't imagine traveling with another line.
Beautiful cabin. Tons of storage space. Separate shower in addition to tub shower combo. Veranda was large with a table and two chair along with two chairs a foot stool and small table. Cabin stewards Joe and Mohamed were exceptional. Very need was met before asking!
Did not schedule anything in seattle
Breathtaking day cruising in glacial bay.
Excursion was cancelled due to late arrival in port
