We chose this cruise because of a great experience we had on a CARNIVAL cruise many years ago and because of the price. We have been on several cruises; some on Mega Ships and some on smaller Ships. We prefer cruising on the smaller Ships and that was the third reason why we chose this cruise. First, The Good: the Stewards, the Shows and activities. The Bad: the pools, the restrictions on their so called "all inclusive" drinks package, no shaded lounge chair areas, the high cost of their excursions. The Ugly: the food. It sucked. Big Time. Especially the meat. Overdone, tasteless, tough. Even the fish. They even managed to ruin Italian sausage which tasted like someone tried to deep fry them and forgot to heat the oil. Terrible. And when you can't enjoy the food on a cruise it is time to stop cruising. It is a shame because most of the staff were very nice and the ship, though older, was well maintained.
