Cabin: Family Balcony
Traveled with children

We wanted to do a cruise of Alaska and chose NCL because of prior experience with NCL and freestyle dining. We booked a balcony family room on the 10 deck for our family of four. Our room had a double bed, sofa which converted to a bed and a drop down twin bed from the ceiling. The sofa bed was a little small for my teenage daughter. This would not work for a full size adult and is probably more suited for younger children. Otherwise our cabin space was fine and relatively roomy for ship cabins. The balcony was very nice and afforded us great views of the glaciers when we were in Glacier Bay.

The food was good and the variety was also good and appealed to all in our family. We made reservations in advance and had no problems getting seated. The restaurants felt less crowded than on other cruises so the variety of choices seems to do a good job of spreading everyone out. We found the service in the Tsar Palace and Cagney's Steak house a bit slow. O'Sheehans was a good place for lunch or breakfast.

I enjoyed the spa and found everyone very helpful and the services enjoyable.

Cabin Review

Family Balcony

Cabin B2

Cabin was roomy for a cruise cabin and the balcony provided great views. As mentioned above the cabin is well suited for a family with small children. The fourth bed was a little small for teenagers.

Port Reviews

Victoria

My family really wanted to experience ziplining and this provided 2 hours of ziplining across 8 different ziplines. It was a lot of fun and doable for all. My family of teenagers enjoyed this much more than walking through town and the gardens which is mostly what Victoria is know for. The only downside is that it is about 1 hour drive from the pier so this excursion took about 5 hours and did not provide any real time to explore the city as well.

Seattle

We have been to Seattle before so we did not do any excursions. The transport to and from the airport was smooth and the checking in and checking out procedures were also very smooth.
