The cruise was a free "bounce back" offer from the casino. We wanted to leave from NYC so this was our only option - We did sail with an open mind, unfortunately never again on the Sunshine.

This was our 19th cruise on Carnival and we like to try new ships - WE WERE WARNED - next time I will listen more closely. The ship is too crowded - they have added more cabins but have eliminated a pool area for the Havana Bar area. While the Havana area is nice - especially for lunch and breakfast - it is needed more as a pool area. There is not enough room for everyone to enjoy the one remaining pool. The Serenity area is nice - three decks high - it does have a pool and hot tub - but again .... way too small. Chairhogs must sleep in their choice all night long - you could not find a place to sit as early as 7:30 a.m.

The shows - if you have late dining it is IMPOSSIBLE to have dinner and make the show. If dinner starts at 8Z:15 - how do you expect anyone to be done by 9:30 -- just didn't work. Comedy club is much too small to accomodate the crowd. Same with Piano Bar. Casino was overcrowded as well - as a former smoker - if you can't stand the smoke stay OUT of the casino. It was impossible to find room at the table games.

Cabin Review

Premium Vista Balcony

Cabin 9C

The cabin was absolutely awesome! We loved the aft wrap. The cabin was perfect for 2 people - impossible to have any more. The balcony could easily accommodate 25 folks. Cabin was clean, fresh and William was attentive to our needs.
