We spent four days in Copenhagen prior to picking up our cruise there (full details over on Trip Advisor). We’re light travellers - one bag each, which we always carry on and off under our own steam and never do formal dining - so it was a simple matter of DKK 36 each for public transport to Oceankaj taking the metro to Nørreport and then the 25 bus. Including a 5 minute wait for the bus it was about 35 minutes travel time from the airport (where we stayed at the Hilton - using a combination of points and killer member deals).
This was our first time in an interior cabin. The Regal is either interior or balcony, and given that we’ve tended to treat the cabin as a place to sleep, shower and… it was difficult to justify the price hike - so we didn’t. There was more than enough room to stash clothes and bags. The shower in the bathroom was larger than we've previously experienced and there was no need to wipe up the blood after swinging the proverbial cat. The entertainment system was also updated, movies - and a pretty decent choice - were available on demand. This was to prove more than useful.
Our first time in an interior cabin (it was hard to justify the cost of a balcony). No issues. The bathroom / shower area is a little larger which meant we could swing a cat and not have to wipe up the blood afterwards... There was more than enough storage and a decent flat screen TV. We noticed a bit of noise from the Piazza bleed through so just turned up the sound :) Very comfortable bed although the A/C needed some tweaking the first couple of days. Not sure why Princess don't have a thermostat with a digital display. The lack of natural light meant we set an alarm call to wake us up and check the weather condition via the bridge webcam on the TV. Would consider again for our next cruise.
Did our own thing. Vigeland Sculpture Park is a must!
Beautiful medieval town
