The reason I am writing this so late is because I wanted to give NCL ample time to respond when I wrote them a letter. It has been 5 months and I NEVER received any response what so ever from NCL.
I would like to start off by saying that we have always enjoyed cruising and have had no complaints. This was our 9th cruise that we have been on. We recently took a cruise on the Norwegian Jewel this past November of 2015 and had a great time. Four months later we booked another cruise with the Norwegian Gem for March 12-22 of 2016.
The first day of our cruise I immediately unpacked my belongings to create more space and store luggage out of the way. When I went to put away my jewelry that consisted of a bracelet, earrings, necklaces and one piece that I just purchased for $22.00 a week prior and never got a chance to wear. I discovered that they were stolen out of my suitcase (estimated total $150.00 U.S. Dollars) I did not report because I felt it was my own fault for putting it into my checked luggage. However, I am very disappointed that staff from NCL are not properly screened when they are inspecting luggage or the staff that we trust and tip to take our suitcases.
