Sail Date: Aug 2016

Although, I do not have any River Cruise to compare this too, (it was our first) I wanted to state that this was probably the most relaxing vacation I have had in years and would highly recommend it to anyone.

We sailed on the Emerald Star form Nuremberg to Amsterdam the week of August 23, 2016. It was a great trip (but very hot), the scenery was beautiful, all the ports were great, the food was excellent and the staff was beyond compare. I cannot say enough about the staff. They would do anything for you and nothing seemed like a burden to them. In fact, my wife felt ill one day and the Cruise Director, Balazs(??) went out of his way to find us a local pharmacy open on a Saturday evening.

In each port you had a walking tour with a local guide (very good) and enough free time to explore on your own or just sit at an outdoor café and people watch. In most cases the ship was docked in the center of town. You could walk anywhere on your own.

Cabin Review

Cabin Panarama

Very Nice lots of room. Could have used some USB ports in the cabin. Also the safe and in-room bar take up quite a bit of room. However, besides the 2 small items the room and the room steward were excellent.
