I took this cruise with two family members. For two of us this was our 2nd cruise (first on Princess) and the third person it was their first cruise ever. We all had been wanting to do an Alaskan cruise and Princess was chosen for price and timing.

Our first day was great. Embarkation was fast and very easy. I've heard often when you board your luggage won't be ready (true for previous cruise) but when we walked on and checked out where our room was our luggage was waiting. So we were able to get that taken care of right away. The cabin was decent. It was about what I was expecting. It had a drop down bed that our steward put down and up everyday.

We ended up eating the buffet more times than not. We only ate dining rooms twice. The reason was our first time was on "formal night" and it took forever to get in. So make a reservation or eat elsewhere if you don't mind. The food in the dining room was good. Our service was excellent (and that goes for everywhere and everything on ship). The buffet food was ok, not the best I've had. Also the variety and selection was a bit low for a large cruise ship. The seating there was also hard to find but after 1 time we learned find table first and then go eat. We also shared a table more than half time which was great for us.

Cabin BA

The cabin was what I was expecting. Bigger than my other cruise but still had to wait for others to move around.

Seattle

We stayed in Seattle night before. Loved our stay! Went and hung out at the Seattle Food Festival. Lots of food trucks and beer garden. Lots of fun. Seattle is one of my fav places

Skagway

This town actually was my favorite next to Victoria. There are a lot of shops for tourists still but does not seem to the same level. There are a lot of small town type shops that you can tell are local shops. We just walked around and had some food at the brewery.

Victoria

Very beautiful! Ate some food, walked around and when it got dark we went to the parliament building which is amazing lit up at night. Very short amount of time there but we walked around and checked out old buildings and scenery.
