The Sounds and Smells of a Superior Suite

This short cruise on Braemar (August 19th to 27th 2016) to the Norwegian Fjords was our second Fred. Olsen cruise of the year, having previously sailed on Boudicca. The Braemar compares favourably with the Boudicca – although both of these ships have a dated appearance and lack the design features of more modern ships, the Braemar did not have the tired look of the Boudicca. Refurbishments to these ships can do little to hide the fact that the basic structure and their fittings are old.

The main attraction of the Fred. Olsen fleet to us is the size of the ships, the age profile of the passengers, and the excellent service provided by a friendly staff. The time of our travel meant that there were more children than usual on this cruise, but in general we enjoyed excellent service from the crew.
