Been on several cruises with Carnival. This was the first time we ported in New Orleans. We mostly chose this venue out of convenience for us as we live in Tennessee and did not want to travel to Florida this time. We did not like this particular boat. There was no Serenity side. There were several small pools, which would have been nice, but they were jammed packed full of kids. The boat was older and showed wear and tear. The food didn't seem to be as good as on the other boats. The staff was great though! Loved our cabin manager. He was excellent! There didn't seem to be as many shows on board or fun things to do especially on the fun at sea days. Our shore excursions were nice. We did the Beginner Scuba at First port. I think this cruise ship would be good for families not so much for honeymooners or couples celebrating anniversary as we were. Also, the buffets were closed a lot on this cruise ship. Ive never noticed them being closed on the other ships, at least not for as long of periods. We hardly ever made it down to actually eat buffet.

Balcony

Nice Cabin.. First time with a balcony and we loved it. Could see everything!

Port Reviews

New Orleans

We didn't do anything at this port. However embarkment and disembarkment was very easy. I liked the fact that baggage claim was there on the spot to get bags to cruise ship and to take bags from cruise ship to your car.
