Embarkation was very smooth as we checked in online, went straight to our stateroom which was very nice and clean. As we were 1st time cruisers couldn't wait to have a look round the ship and we certainly were not disappointed. The promenade was very impressive as was the theatre, casino, etc.
Went to the dinning room on the formal nights and the food was superb as was the food in the windjammer, with plenty of choice.
Went to the 2 ice shows and 5 shows, which were ok for a cruise ship (not headliners but still ok)
The waiters and bar staff were great and couldn't do enough for you.
Now for the negatives!
Advertised destinations Rome, Nice etc came at a considerable extra cost, actual destinations Civitavecchia, Villefranche etc were drop off points of limited appeal.
As the juggler/comedian said in his show, cruising has become very affordable in his assessment of some guests apparel.
The dress code on the formal nights, as we were led to believe from past cruisers, was strictly adhered to, not sure what happened on our cruise as guests were there in jeans, check shirts etc.
One man drunk trying to obtain more alcohol as he had soiled his pants, kids running riot in big groups, mothers putting on suntan lotion on the kids in the windjammer where people are trying to eat there food, husband and wife arguing and he spits in her face, etc.
My husband and i were expecting to have a lovely relaxing 2 week cruise for our 25th wedding anniversary, instead we felt like we had 2 weeks in Butlins holiday camp.
We will not be returning to Royal Caribbean cruises anytime soon.
