Having done 30+ cruises, you would think I would know the score, but ....

Arrived at port, all as usual, used the suggested parking method, which worked well for us. Fairly quick embarkation, pleasant staff. We embarked the ship and went to our respective rooms, we had booked two cabins for a family of four, girls are 16 and 17, asno amount of showers is ever enough. RC had decided to put the cabins 3 decks apart but after a couple of days we got used to it.

However, parts of our luggage were not delivered until after 9pm on the first evening of the cruise, which meant I had to go to dinner in the equivalent of training shoes. I was very embarrassed to say the least. The Cabin was ill equipped we had no soap in the toilet we had to ask for it, an oversight I am sure, but the cabin was also dirty, dusty and very tired Indeed, I even found a toy which obviously did not belong to us. I was not impressed. The cabin attendant was like a stalker which was un nerving, my husband is the most easy going person and said the same.

Port Reviews

Bilbao

Unexpectedly nice port of call, beach within walking distance, would recommend.

Le Havre

OK for shopping, if you can handle a 10 hour trip into Paris, its a good trip, but you can get the train, same time, but price may be on your side.

Southampton

Home port little to say other than a quick embarkation.
