Southampton is convenient as a departure point,we wanted a less stressful experience than airports and wanted to see the Norwegian Fjords. This cruise ticked all those boxes for us. Embarkation was hassle-free, the ABP parking a bit dear but very efficient, as it was for disembarkation.
The Braemar is a well run ship, hand cleanliness very obvious and emphasised as it should be. The crew are very helpful, always available and unobtrusive. We had an outside cabin with porthole Windows, a good size and very well maintained. The food- brilliant, plentiful, imaginative and well presented. There were plenty of activities on sailing days, the library is one of the best places to sit in. When it's warm enough, the sun deck is well supplied with loungers and chairs. Entertainment was professional and varied, worth seeing.
We would definetly return. The Braemars strength is its crew who make everything so easy and enjoyable.
Clean, comfortable, anwell maintained. Plenty of room for clothes etc.
Well staffed, easy access.
A beautiful spot. Easily accessed from the berth, nice walks if not going on an excursion. A couple of small supermarkets and several cafes.
Very expensive, it rained continually when we were there, so a revisit on a dry day would be good. Lovely seafood lunch in the Fishmarket.
