This was our first cruise and after careful research here we thought it would be a good choice as we don't like loud and flashy.

Flying from Bournemouth with Titan Airways, the initial impression was not great. The flight ran to schedule, however, in-flight catering was poor with the most miserable processed cheese sandwich made with sliced white bread, plus a four finger Kit-Kat.

Arriving at Venice Marco Polo was chaotic with Cunard charter flights from Heathrow and Manchester arriving around the same time. The queue to give our names to the Cunard staff and drop off suitcases moved very slowly but once outside, the coach transfer to the port was efficient. Check-in and security were pretty speedy and embarkation was trouble free.

Generally very quiet although directly above an automatic door opening to deck 3. Some noise from the door actuation can be heard during the early evening when the door was used most.
