This was our first Disney cruise and it was faultless! We travelled with our 6 year old and he didn't want to leave, we booked onboard for our next one.

I consider myself quite picky when it comes to holidays and ever expectation was exceeded on this cruise nothing was to much trouble. Our bathroom light started to flicker as a test we said nothing and it was fixed when we came back to our room. Our little boy got tangled in the sheets at night so they found him a duvet. Room service even wrote him a little personalised letter commenting things he had done on the cruise.

In summary

Food, lots of choice and of a high quality

Drink, non alcoholic drinks like juice and soda are free and endless. Take some empty drinks bottles so you can pop some in your fridge or use by the pool. The small card ones they give you don't last long and with kids and straws sometimes it can get messy!

Entertainment, my husband was even prepared to go to the theatre shows as they were so well produced. Don't sit in the front row as sometimes the smoke machiene goes a bit crazy , quite a few people left because they started coughing. The latest cinema releases were all on board.

Room service, there is a limited menu but if you order once they sometimes give you a extended menu.

The deck parties are amazing. A bit of pushing and shoving so get yourself on deck 10 and you can watch all the action without being disturbed. The fireworks are breath taking!

Tour. We went on a half day to Pompeii. The tour itself was great but I think the guide had a deal with the restaurant so he omitted to mention the free toilets at the exit of the site. The ones around the shops all cost 50c. In itself that's not a lot but if you don't have any change you then have to buy something first to brake the note and a small Sprite was 3euros.

The clubs are great, lots to do and the id band and wave phones mean the children can have the free run of the ship and it is completely safe. This did mean kids running about and screaming at 2am a couple of nights and I hate to say they were all British children but as it Disney I let it go! Sorry couldn't resist !

The gym is good but they only do the spin classes while at sea. Which meant there were only 2. You could use the bikes only in classes?

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom
Cabin 09B 5016

Lovely soft bed. Very clean. Space was a little tight around the bed but no issues for family of 3 lots of storage. Sofa bed a bit squeaky so he had the pull down bunk with guard rail which he loved !
