We picked the Regal Princess as a result of friends offering the idea of cruising the Baltic. The price was right for the 11 day cruise. The friends selected the Regal Princess as a result of a pricing promotion. So it seemed to be a great deal and we jointly booked the ship with rooms adjacent to each other. We arrived in Copenhagen two days prior and took advantage of the time to tour the city. Princess provided the tours and they were very enjoyable and informative. Staying at the Scandic Hotel was a problem as they do not have a lot of rooms with Queen size beds. Even though our travel agent confirmed Queen sized beds for both the pre-cruise stay and post-cruise stay, the hotel didn't honor the reservation. So, we had twin beds for both stays. The stay there included breakfasts that were very good using a buffet style variety that was excellent.

Boarding was no problem and there were more than enough people to assist us in getting through the process. Our bags were delivered to our rooms after a couple of hours with no problems.

For breakfast, we used the Horizon and Bistro Court buffets. I was pleasantly surprised at the different type of foods offered. One problem was that for some reason, the Horizon Grill served eggs to order and the Bistro Court only served scrambled eggs. This caused traffic to move between each with food plates carried by passengers trying to find where to get their egg order was going to be. The Pastry shop had a lot of Danish pastries of the same kind but different flavors. The variety wasn't that good for a shop that specialized in pastries. I expected more.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Balcony

Cabin D4

The size of the room seemed cramped with the queen bed. The shower was the typical small shower where you could barely turn around. The linens seemed stiff and scratchy.
