  3. Navigator of the Seas
We had a wonderful holiday aboard the Navigator of the Seas, although the ship was full and there were 1200 children! We did not dine in any of the restaurants were a cover charge is applied but we did attend an Indian taster meal at Sabor. The food was amazing and we got much more that we anticipated - 4 full courses! The service matched the food and I would highly recommend it if you have the chance to go. Over the years I think the food has changed in the restaurant, we were given lobster and quality steak dishes on formal evening, now it is less extravagant but that is a sign of the times. Windjammer is amazing, with such a wide variety of authentic foods, the only downside is having to get out of your seat to help yourself to each course. The shows were fantastic as always. The headliner guests, especially the comedian Paul Eastwood were also top quality. We enjoyed the ice dancing show and having the opportunity to have dance lessons from the professional ballroom dancers. We also took part in a flash mob which was great fun. The service was fine but they do seem to have cut back on bar staff, which did cause problems at busy times. Especially on sea days. Plus the 18% service charges on drinks is most unwelcome! We always go for an inside cabin and I have no complaints about the the stateroom. The only complaint I have is lack of seating. After dinner or a show,it was always a problem to find somewhere to sit. An area with just background music would be great for the occasions when you would like to have a drink and conversation without shouting at one another. We tend not to take part in a lot of the activities but there was an excellent choice for those who did. anything from water crayons to napkin folding. Royal Caribbean offer a wide choice of tours but we generally don't bother. If you do your research before you leave home it is quite easy to get around by bus or train and a lot cheaper! Once you have done it by yourselves and gained a bit of confidence, you won't look back.

Summer fun!
