We decided to sail to Alaska about a month before we departed. We live in the departure port of Seattle and have been on Alaska Cruises several times before as it's an easy vacation for us. We chose the Celebrity Solstice as some family members have sailed on it in the past and they enjoyed the ship. We were glad we chose the Solstice as the ship is truly beautiful and very comfortable. The crew was extremely friendly and helpful. We had wonderful table makes in the dining room and really enjoyed the new friends we made on this ship.

The shore excusions in Alaska are all perfect and really capture the feeling of Alaska. I highly recommend the White Pass & Yukon Train at Skagway. That train is a marvel of modern engineering as it climbs from Sea-level to over 3,000 feet in 20 miles. Talk about stunning views

We did film a vlog of the trip, which you can view
