After looking at several river cruise companies, we chose Scenic because everything was included- drinks, mini bar, excursions, tips. The spaceship was beautiful and well maintained. Our balcony suite was very good. The clever window that could be raised and lowered meant full use could be made of the balcony whatever the weather. We liked the spacious bathroom with walk in shower, luxurious toiletries and soft bathrobes.

The journey was straightforward. The journey by Eurostar and Thalys was straightforward. Meals were offered at each stage and we were met at the station and driven to the ship in a private taxi.

The meals were first-class with plenty of choice. The food and wines were tailored to the area we were travelling through. The executive chef came to the port talk each evening to talk about dinner. The waiting staff could not have been more helpful. This was true of all the staff.
