WOW! Harmony of the Seas is AMAZING. After cruising on RCL, NCL, MSC & Thomson over the last 10 years, this cruise was the best we have ever experienced. Check in from the Airport to Port was very fast, we were on board and enjoying the ship within an hour off arrival in Barcelona. We would recommend doing the online check in so that you can save time at port (no queuing!) and be on board in record time. We arrived in the morning which meant our room wasn't ready till 1pm, which we were prepared for. Advice – bring a change of clothes / swim gear with sun screen so you can enjoy what’s available on board. Relax at the pool, have some food, a drink and a wander around to familiarize yourself with the ship until your room is ready. You might be waiting a while for your suit case too, ours didn't arrive at our room till 5pm. Our room was perfectly located and we loved the view of central park, always a quiet spot where people strolled through or ate at the numerous restaurants so it was never noisy, day or night. Our room attendant, Everton, did an excellent job and always kept the room pristine. Getting around the ship was very easy and we found everything eventually. The ship is enormous but very well designed so it was not complicated to navigate. During the day there was never an issue getting a sun lounger – we stayed close to the solarium – a much quieter part of the ship, with a bar (excellent friendly bar staff), restaurant for breakfast, lunch and occasionally dinner and relaxing seating areas to get away from it all. We ate in the Solarium most days, occasionally the Windjammer, Park Cafe and Sorrento’s. All the food available was delicious and we were spoilt for choice. As to the queues that others have commented on – you need to be clever and decide not to eat or get a drink at the bar when tours are coming back to the ship or before / after shows, these are obviously peak times. We never experienced overcrowding / long delays in getting a drink, table, food or any of the activities on board. We did not pay for the specialty restaurants or eat in the main dining room so we cannot comment on those. We preferred to eat at a time that suited us. All daily activities were open during the day, some at select times. We had great fun on the water slides, crazy golf, zip line and The Abyss. Again we did not have to wait in long queues for these. We also enjoyed watching others try the surfing, basketball and other sport entertainment onboard. There was always something to do on the ship. The daily entertainment was extensive. The Daily Compass is a necessity to keep informed of what’s on during the day and night. Guaranteed never to be bored! We did book some of the nightly entertainment online before arriving on the ship which meant we did not have to wait in line for the shows. We got to see all the shows on offer with and without a reservation. Timing again is crucial to get the best seats available and avoid the rush. Of all the entertainment staff, Fabio from Brazil, was fantastic and made everything he hosted fun and hilariously entertaining. It was always a delight to see him as we knew we were in for a great night’s entertainment! ALL the shows were top class and professionally staged in every arena. We did not book any tours so we cannot comment on the port excursions. We again did our own thing and explored the ports we wanted to see ourselves. As we had purchased our drinks packages online before getting on the ship and not purchasing anything while on board or booking tours we had no need to go to customer services. We never had an issue while on board so thankfully we escaped the endless queue at customer services. We had no need to check out the night before departure as we had no bill to settle :). I would recommend to everyone again thinking of cruising, to select your tours, drinks packages, dining options, entertainment reservations BEFORE you board for this very reason. Preparation is the key to a relaxing hassle free cruising experience. On departure, the smoothest we have experienced, fast and efficient and at the airport in no time. Very sad that the holiday had to come to an end. We loved it so much we do not know how or if we will ever be able to top such a fantastic experience again! Thanks to ALL THE STAFF on the Harmony of the Seas for giving us the BEST HOLIDAY EVER!!!

Cabin Review

Cabin 9183
Excellent location, close to lifts and stairs, quiet, beautifully decorated and plenty of space with a nice view over central park. Kept spotlessly clean by our room attendant.
