Our seven-day Western Mediterranean cruise aboard NCL Epic was simply wonderful! It was relatively easy to embark and disembark. We sailed on July 27 to August 3. We booked excursions In Livorno (Florence and Pisa), Naples (Pompeii, Sorrento, Positano), and Barcelona through outside private companies not affiliated with NCL. We used the petit train to tour Cannes and Marseille; we even swam in the Mediterranean Sea in Cannes.

The crew from the restaurants to the cabins were personable and helpful. We especially appreciated the cool towels and the cold beverages awaiting us at the end of our land excursions. None of us drink soda and alcohol so the regular juices, coffee, tea, and water were fine with us. We ate at the Garden Buffet, the Manhattan Room, Taste, O'Sheehans, Shanghai, & Noodle Bar everyday. The buffet was always replenished quickly and an army of staff cleaned the tables quickly so no precious time was wasted looking for an empty table.

There were plentiful nightly and daytime entertainments during cruising day (one cruising day) so we never got bored. The cabins were clean. We had three separate cabins as there were five of us in the family. We all liked the freestyle cruising, we've sailed on Disney Wonder before, it was a 10-day cruise to the Mexican Riviera, and while Disney is pristine and perfect in every way, we were surprised we also liked NCL's freestyle cruising..We will definitely sail with NCL again! Thank you NCL for a memorable family celebration vacation!
