We chose this cruise because we wanted to see the North Cape and midnight sun.
Thoroughly enjoyable voyage although the weather could have been kinder. A few rough seas and sickness - although thankfully we were OK. Even managed a bit of sunbathing on the balcony on some days.
Ship is fine - we had also been on it two years ago. Unfortunately we found that most of the theatre entertainment was exactly the same as before!
Usual type - plenty of space for 2 people.
Big balconies on this deck.
Good place to start a cruise
Nice place to wander around - although not so good in the rain!
Don't bother with the hop on hop off bus as it doesn't really go anywhere you can't walk to.
You can book boat trips independently which might be a good idea as it does rain a lot here, and it is a waste of money if there is no visibility.
Shops are nice to look round and there is an interesting cathedral.
A pretty little village with beautiful views.
The little Noddy train is a nice trip and they stop to let you take photographs.
A few shops if you need to buy anything.
Cathedral was interesting and has a nice cafe.
Very pretty coloured buildings along the waterside.
Unfortunately it was absolutely freezing on the day of our visit, so we didn't hand around too long.
Visited Arctic Cathedral and cable car. Lovely place and the sun was shining - hoorah!
Rather expensive shuttle to town ($5 each way). You could walk but it didn't look very scenic. if you want to go up the cable car go straight there (over the big bridge by foot or public bus). Do not take a ship tour as you do not get time to go up the mountain.
Really liked this place and would love to go back one day.
Used the HOHO bus to go up to the view point and then on to the aquarium which was excellent. Vert pretty little town.
Unfortunately we were only there for the morning so not enough time to do much. Went to the art galleries as we have been to Bergen several times before.
Not visited due to bad weather conditions at sea
