A Little Background: Family of 9 from Maryland headed out on a high seas adventure! Only cruised with Carnival and for the most part it was an awesome experience. Cruising is what you make it!
Port Canaveral and Embarkation: While we did not explore the port before embarkation, we spent a few days on the gulf coast before traveling on embarkation day to begin our summer adventure! We parked with Park Port Canaveral, whom then provided us a van to transport us and our abundant luggage. Security was a breeze and in no time we were headed to onboard for lunch.
Ship: The Valor at the start of the summer received the Fun Ship 2.0 Upgrades, which include Guy's Burger Joint and Blue Iguana. Midship pool was closed the first day, but it was evident that staff were working hard to open it for the remainder of the trip. There were only two "hot" tubs, the rest were cool tubs, which were nice when lounging in the sun, but would've preferred more heat. Overall very clean and well maintained.
The interior cabin on the seventh floor was directly below the bridge so it was very quiet. Two twin beds, comfortable with the best sheets imaginable. Enough space to fit luggage under the bed for additional space. Closet space was more than enough for two grown women! Shower was cold the first couple days, but our room steward, Noel, was constantly checking in to make sure everything was working well. We bought magnetic whiteboards from the dollar store and put them outside our rooms to let people know what was going on! Would suggest to anyone traveling with a group!
