This was my 7th cruise with Royal Caribbean and sadly, I have to say this was the worst for several reasons.

1. I should have took the advice of some cruise critic's review about Anthem of the seas.

2. As soon as you board the ship, you realize that the design and pattern that you are used to with Royal Caribbean's big class of ships is different with the Anthem class. The width of this ship is extremely small. It is filled with cabins and not much else. Instead of a promenade, this ship has a walkway area called the esplanade. There was nothing to do in the esplanade for our 9-day voyage. There are literally about 30 jewelry and watch stores that no one visited. Stores like Guess, Bvlgary that you would see on Rodeo drive. Everyday the staff put out tables and filled them with low quality watches and jewelry in order to get people to buy stuff.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Cabins were normal. They still don't compare to Freedom class or Oasis class. It's just like when you buy a new car and get that feeling with the new car smell. Anthem does not give you that feeling. It looked like they build Anthem in a hurry and there was not much thought put into it aside from sucking passengers dry of money.
