We were awed at the size of the ship when we came into the cruise port. We had chosen the Escape because they stopped in Tortola. My husband and I were celebrating our 25th anniversary and we had gone to Tortola for our honeymoon. The ship was beautiful. The crew were fantastic. Embarkation was easy in Miami. Our embarkation time was 11:30, it was great because we could choose what time we could get on board. The cabins weren't ready until about 2pm which gave us time to explore the ship. We just walked the ship front and back, top to bottom, enjoyed lunch at the Garden Café buffet. Loved the Washy Washy guys, you could not pass them without smiling (as a nurse, I appreciated the opportunity at every dining venue to partake of hand sanitizer, did not want a norovirus ruining my vacation).

We were able to get into our cabin before 1pm. The first night is "casual" casual, they tell you to allow them until 7pm to have your luggage delivered, ours was there about 2pm. We adored our cabin steward, Jocelyn. She made us feel like we were her only cabin, if we needed anything she dropped what she was doing to take care of us. She even decorated our cabin for our anniversary, left us a towel swan with rose petals on the bed. I would definitely recommend the ultimate beverage package, it is soooooo worth it. We took a promotion with the beverage package and 3 nights of specialty dining. The complimentary dining rooms are all wonderful. The food selections were great and service was great! Our favorite specialty dining rooms were Cagney's, Moderno, and Teppenyaki. Definitely recommend making reservations as they fill up fast. We usually ate around 5:30 - 6pm and the restaurants were not crowded yet. We then could catch a show after. We had to eat late at Cagney's because that was the only reservation available. Never had a bad meal.

We enjoyed the comedy shows and Brat Pack. They had movies at night out on the deck, followed by some serious dancing afterwards. Tyler and Andre (Cruise director and Asst Cruise Director) were always ready to get you going. Enjoyed Andre's trivia games (Superheroes and villains and Harry Potter), he was bringing out the inner geek. We really loved the Karaoke at 5 o'clock somewhere, I had never seen karaoke and thought it was a blast! There was always something to do. We had been to St Thomas and Tortola before, Tortola will always be our favorite though. There are excursions for everybody, they can be a little pricey. Never had any problems with debarkation and embarkation, the chilled towels and Washy Washy guys were nice coming back on board.

Cabin BA

The cabin was great. We had a wonderful cabin stewardess. I was fine sitting out on the balcony with a book or bottle of wine at night.

Port Reviews

Tortola

By far my favorite! We took a tour of the island, stopped at Cane Garden Bay for a while to sun and swim, returned back to Roadtown to do a little shopping. Would have liked more time on Tortola though.
