This was our first cruise, so we don't have anything to compare with, but it was such a good experience we can't wait to go again.
We don't drink much so didn't bother with a drinks package, and liked that other than alcohol everything else, water, soda, coffee, even mocktails, was included, even the speciality restaurants.
All the dining venues were excellent. In the buffet staff did the serving so no hygiene worries about many hands handling serving utensils. I can't fault any of the dining options, enjoyed every meal we had but think Red Ginger was my favourite.
The cabin was a decent size and the bed supremely comfortable. There was a small but big enough table by the sofa which room service set up with proper table linen when we used room service.
There was plenty of storage space, no problems finding a home for everything. One case went under the bed so that we could drop purchases made on the trip in there. The others we asked our steward to store for us.
The bathroom had a bath with shower over and a separate shower. I prefer a shower so would have liked a bigger shower and no bath, but appreciate that this layout is a good way of satisfying everyone.
Embarkation. Very smooth quick and well organised but we didn't really see the town. Very scenic cruise out of the harbour.
Shuttle to town provided, lovely place to wander and enjoy the scenery.
Free shuttle into town provided.
A good place to buy Amber, but need to be careful that it's not over priced or not genuine.
The ship had to dock at the coast, at Warnemunda not Berlin! A really lovely little town to shop and wander.
Docked close enough to walk into town. Don't bother with the cruise crowds at the little mermaid, keep walking to St Albans Church & Gefion Fountain about 5 minutes further towards town.
Some photo stops along the drive would have been good as the drive is very scenic. Interesting to see glass being blown, and lots of shopping opportunities.
Final shopping opportunity, some good local rather than tourist shops in town.
