Embarkation went smoothly - short wait in the hall due to the queue. Ship was brilliant, obviously still quite new, staff very friendly and everywhere cleaning all the time. We had an inside cabin for 3 which was fine. More than enough room for us to hang out and storage. Turned the TV on each morning to view the webcams to see the view.

Dining very good, tried MDR, buffet and speciality Italian, guys burgers etc.., had room service too. Enjoyed all of them - but the MDR was our favourite. We had anytime dining and never had to wait. Entertainment: we used the IMAX which was brilliant, watched the dive in movies - loads of space to see/sit (free popcorn), played mini golf - went on the sky ride and sky course which were great. Staff very helpful on these for us old folk! We also did the Cat in the Hat breakfast - which had lots of colourful food! Cabin attendant on deck 8 brilliant.

We used Carnival for most of our shore excursions as they included some long distances. Our favourites were in Marseille - Arles, also Pisa, and Vesuvius/pompeii trips. I thought they were all well priced and great. Our prettiest ports were without doubt Dubrovnik, Messina and Corfu Town.

Cabin 4G

3 of us in this very quiet inside cabin. Great aircon - bathroom great size. Lots of hot water, no issues at all. Plenty of room and great cabin attendant. At first the wardrobe looked small - but once we'd sorted out clothes out there was ample space and a drawer each and a shelf.... Another shelving area near the TV and bedside tables. So it was fine. Beds very comfortable and lovely dark at night, no noise really as far enough away from lifts etc... And not near public spaces.

Port Reviews

Dubrovnik

Beautiful port - caught the shuttle to the old town and met some friends, wandered around - spotting all the Game of Thrones sights. Very cheap an icecream less than a GB pound. Had lunch in a restaurant made to feel very welcome, get the feeling the Croatian people are really pleased to have visitors - not a rip off place - cheapest fridge magnet all holiday!

Corfu

Walked into the old town and visited the Old Fort - climbed to the top for the view , amazing - loved Corfu Town lots of narrow streets selling all sorts, you feel like you get lost but you end up ok in the end! It was really hot when we visited but we walked in just fine about 20 mins...... Great port - can't wait to return
