This was our first experience of any cruise and it will not be our last. There was attention to detail in all aspects of our week in Provence. The staff and the programme director Patricia were all so helpful and always charming. A good balance of included excursions along free time or optional additional trips. The ship being fairly new was modern and always clean. The food was very good with options to eat all meals in the main restaurant as well as the closed or open lounge areas. The cabin while small was well designed with good use of space. We were in the lower deck with only a window but this was not an issue for us as its only a flight of stairs to the other decks. We met some great people and the seating at tables or 6 or 8 means everyone chats and shares experiences . There were daily updates on the events for the following day and a written page in the cabins as a reminder of times etc. I must say everyone kept to the agreed schedule at all times so no hanging around for 1 or 2 people at coach or pick ups. The Quitevox and earpiece was great for following the commentary of the guides . The only minor niggle was the absence of rose wine for most or the trip which in Provence is surprising but we made do with champagne instead! Many thanks to all at Viking and we hope to see you again soon. PM
