This was a family cruise of sixteen people. Our cabin was roomy, clean, cool and big enough for eight grandchildren to use as a focal point. The food was acceptable but below our previous experienced cruise. Our first carnival cruise was in 2001 on the Victory and was excellent. I rate this cruise from that one fifteen years ago. Food was better than McDonalds but not by much. In the formal dining area I had the duck which was not quite done, next was the salmon which was simply a safe choice of food. I had cherry flambe which was not flaming but was definitely melted. Well, I will leave the rest up to you. If Cuisine is a factor, choose wisely. Taco night was something to forget. The Thai flat top was ehh.
On the great side was the service. Our stewardess was the greatest. She took pride in remembering everyone's name. She had thirty cabins. The buffet floor help was superior. Meaning absolutely no complaints. The ship was clean, well maintained but dogeared in spots. The pools were very small and shallow. The wine, far too expensive for Kendal Jackson at 40 bucks a bottle. On my judgement scale of 1 to 10 of would I take this particular ship again? It would be a definite 1. This is a young people's boat.
Clean, well appointed, beds comfortable, cool. Bathroom (the head) nice.
