This was a relatively inexpensive cruise and it showed. While nothing was particularly bad it was not particularly good either. The food was mediocre both in the Waterside buffet and in the restaurant (Saffron). The entertainment was, in the main 'cheap and cheerful', certainly nothing special. The enrichment activities during the day were practically non-existent unless designed to part you with as much money as possible. The off-shore excursions were an absolute rip-off - a trip to Rome which involved driving up and down streets hearing about the sites for which Rome is famous without actually seeing them. (A complaint to the Excursions Manager was met by complete indifference and actual rudeness - they obviously have a lot of complaints!).

This is not a cruise company I will ever use again. The request for a cabin near our freedom dining restaurant was ignored which meant my elderly parents had a very long walk each day. The staff spent three days cleaning the corridor carpet - both noisy and obstructive.

The ship was very crowded. While it was always possible to get a seat in the theatre the other venues were a different matter and the design of the Havana meant that quite a number of seats had a restricted view.

Cabin Review

Carpet was stained. Loo kept flooding.
