Nice, clean ship that gave all a feeling of having more space than on our last few cruises with NCL, Princess and RCCL. This was one of two big pluses for this ship. I don't really understand folks preoccupation these day with ship size and how new it is. I look for lower passenger capacity, good ration of crew to passengers and use that. Its a much better indicator of the service and experience you'll have. After all they aren't building bigger ships to make your cruise more enjoyable, its to jam more people on each ship and make the cruise lines more money period. We first cruised in the very early 90s and unfortunately cruising is not like it was back then. So much has been removed due to bean counters cutting back on everything. That said; I would say Celebrity has cut the least of the big four in this category (I include Princess, NCL, RCCL as its peers). This ship was clean, pools were nice, good spa, slightly better than your average buffet restaurant, and had decent cabin size. The main dining room service was excellent but the restaurant's menu was average at best. Food was not bad (though one dessert was advertised as a "poached pear" and it was what I will describe as a soggy fruit granola bar drowning in melted vanilla ice cream (seriously the worst dessert I've ever had anywhere!..it was laughable and even the waiters seem to know about it). As for the Tuscan Grill don't waste your time and $45 extra pp. My medium rare prime steak (additional $15) was over cooked like pot roast, and crab cake unbearably fishy taste (I fish and crab and its not the good fishy taste, it was the old seafood bad fishy taste). The waiter at he Tuscan Grill was nice and took both back. But not a very good Italian Steakhouse by any means. Crew was slightly more friendly and accommodating on this ship than our last 2. The other huge plus for this ship and Celebrity we found was that they have a much better method of providing service on deck and in the bars. Other cruise lines have you signing receipts even with a package and it creates all this delay with receipts all over the place. This ship was quick and easy, just swipe and go. My last cruise on NCL I was flabbergasted to be told to get to the back of the line to get a drink at the pool bar! I'm on a cruise and a long line not something I want (NCL I believe has some understaffing/training issues). So if we do decide to ever cruise again, I'd likely go with Celebrity. Though my wife, kids and I are more inclined nowadays (due to the continuing cuts to quality overall with cruising) to fly to a location and spend time at a destination in a hotel.

Cabin Review

Inside Stateroom 10

Cabin 10

We had an inside cabin (first time we didn't have an outside cabin). Cabin steward was great. One of the nicest and best I've every had on a cruise.
