Excellent cruise. The Pacific Princess was our first small (30k ton) cruise ship. We were impressed with how quickly the crew learned our names. I felt like the character "Norm" from the TV show Cheers. Not something that has happened on the big 3000+ passenger ships.

Embarkation took less than ten minutes from exiting the bus in the parking lot to being on the ship. Same for getting on and off for excursions.

On two previous trips aboard the Caribbean Princess we found the food in the main dinning room to be extremely bland. On the Pacific Princess the main dining room food was very good. As usual the specialty restaurants were excellent.

Typical interior cabin, however, there were constant low level droning mechanical noises. Noises were soft enough that I got used to them and did not bother my sleep. My wife was bothered by the noises to a greater extent.
