For our 53rd wedding anniversary, we chose Canada and New England as we had cruised there before and just didn't want to go to the Caribbean. We especially liked the fact that it was nine days. Having sailed on the Grandeur twice before the refurbishment, we were interested in seeing what the ship was like since our last cruise.

The night before the cruise, we stayed at the Embassy Suites on St.Paul Place, which was a good experience. We took Philex Transport Services from and to BWI airport to the hotel and to the pier the morning of the cruise. Excellent, courteous drivers who were quick to respond to calls and texts regarding pickup.

Embarkation was smooth and orderly and, perhaps because we are Emerald members of the Crown and Anchor club, check-in went very smoothly. We found Baltimore to be a very convenient port from which to sail.

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin H

The cabin was fine and while storage was tight, we managed to get everything put away. Typical small bathroom. Nice window for viewing scenery and checking the weather before venturing off the ship.
