After 25 or so cruises mainly on RCI , NCL and Celebrity. This was our first P & O cruise. We chose the cruise because we were taking our 8 year old grandson on holiday and the dates fitted with other family commitments.

I initially wasn't best pleased to find that we would be allocated a check in time and was unable to arrived at a time to suit our commitments and on departures day. However we were allocated 1300 and arrived at 1210 and were processed almost immediately, so that gripe was soon over and forgotten. I'm not sure I would have been so forgiving if we had been allocated 1500 and found ourselves with 3 hours to kill after having to check out of the Premier Inn Southampton at 1200.

Ventura is a very nice ship, well kept and cared for, with some very pleasant public areas to suit all tastes ,we particularly like a quiet drink in the evening and are not big on entertainment so were very happy to find some nice quiet bars with background music.
