We had cruised RCI as a family about 12 years ago (on the Explorer of the Seas) and had high hopes of a great extended family vacation. We were sorely disappointed. Aside from a great captain -- who navigated very close to the glacier and excellent service from our dining and room attendants, RCI was a HUGE disappointment.

The food was terrible. It was a challenge to find the item on the menu that was edible. If you are brave enough to try this cruise, avoid the beef --even at the specialty restaurants. Stick to the basics like salad and pasta -- its not good, but its edible.

Don't buy the internet package -- just plan on being disconnected for a week and save yourself the frustration of buying a package that does not work; arguing with the guest services about how it does not work and begging for a refund -- not to mention wasting your time trying over and over to connect and stay connected long enough to accomplish something.

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Dated, but clean and the balcony is nice; towels are very worn - same with sheets; very average quality
