Traveled with children

We took our daughter, son-in-law and two little grandchildren. It was the kiddo's first cruise and they seemed to LOVE it. Camp Carnival was a hit with the 5 year old, but not as much with the 3 year old. They both enjoyed the live shows with dancing and singing. It is something they have not experienced. The magician was corny, and hard to understand at times, but the grandkids liked him.The food was adequate. The children's menu wasn't very varied, so, it was French fries, chicken nuggets, hamburgers and spaghetti EVERY NIGHT. They were each served a nice dish of fruit. For the adults, the meals were ok, but not memorable. The best food night was the filet mignon and short ribs. The salmon was also quite tasty. Most of the chicken was dry and served with a beef gravy? The balcony rooms were perfect and we could open our balconies, so the kids had more space and could visit us often. Of course, they sounded like a herd of elephants while they were in their room all excited by the bunk beds. We have absolutely no complaints about the service. The staff was great! Because of a weather situation in Mexico, our itinerary was changed. We did not take any ship's excursions because most were too long for the little ones. They did find a tour at the dock and took a boat out to the arch, etc. in Cabo San Lucas. Disembarkation took Way Too Long. At least we got to enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Our flight was not until the afternoon, so we didn't have the worry of getting to the airport late. We got there in plenty of time to have a nice lunch. I would encourage people to use the Long Beach airport because it is closer and our driver said with traffic, LAX is quite a haul. All in all, this cruise was pretty much what I expected.

Cabin Review

Cabin Forward balcony

Our cabin was clean and had enough storage. I liked that the refrigerators were empty so we could keep chilled water. The bathroom was just right. The bed was not that comfortable unless you like your bed HARD. The drapes were totally room-darkening. The phone was over on the desk instead of next to the bed.

Port Reviews

Cabo San Lucas

We had been here several times before and shopped at the Art Market. Since I bought several pieces of jewelry in the past, I could not find anything new or different, so I was disappointed that I did not buy anything. :(

Puerto Vallarta

We walked to the beach where the kids rolled in the surf and sand. Lots o sand. :)
