What a wonderful cruise. Cabin, food, service, ports--all were excellent.
We were glad that we arrived in Stockholm two days early. That gave us three and a half days to explore the city, and there was a lot to see.
We stayed at the Rival Hotel in Sodermalm. It was ideal--close to the subway, but also within walking distance of the old town. Not to be missed were the City hall tour, the view from city hall tower and the Vaca museum.
The cabin was clean and comfortable and about standard size for this type of cruise ship. Beds were firm, which is our preference.
Our room had a refrigerator that we never used (we don't drink soda) a coffee maker that we never used (it is so easy to get coffee on the 7th deck or order room service--why bother).
We would have preferred extra storage space, but I imagine those amenities are important to others. I appreciated that the hair dryer was not attached to the bathroom wall. It can only be used at the desk, not in the bathroom, which worked fine for us.
The TV is a sometimes thing, as is the wifi, but if you want to stay in the cabin and watch movies there are plenty to choose from. But we didn't go on a cruise to watch TV, so it was not a problem.
If at all possible, try to spend a few extra days in Stockholm. There is so much to see and do, plus the three day T-Bana pass is inexpensive and a great way to get around the city.
